Trek for a Cure: Salcantay to Machu Picchu
Story
Early in 2012 the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Change Management Institute (CMI) signed a memorandum of understanding to ensure that members from both institutes could embrace learning and opportunities to ensure that change and project management are used consistently to consolidate business success.
It was at that time that members from both organizations decided to save the world (a small portion of it, of course), through the Trek for Cure : Salcantay to Machu Picchu in Peru. During 13 days I will be part of a group teaching project management skills in a school located in a small village, and trekking 60 kilometers for Cure for Cancer .
Having said that I am aiming to raise $4,000 for Cure for Cancer and welcome any contribution, great or small, that you could make!

Cure Cancer Australia Foundation
Cure Cancer is dedicated entirely to funding early career cancer researchers. We identify, assess and fund the research that we believe has the best possible chance of finding a cure. Most importantly, we fund research for ALL cancers.
One Australian dies every 12 minutes from Cancer. We can change this, but only through research.
We’ve come a long way, raising $69.1m and funding over 515 research grants to date. We won’t stop until we eliminate cancer for good.
Our vision is to make this the last generation to die from cancer.
